What Learners Say
“Matt is a fantastic driving instructor always offering a range of options to help you process information and practise new skills. I am a slightly older new driver and was nervous to start lessons, Matt put me at ease and helped me feel confident and calm behind the wheel. Cannot recommend enough.”

“Lee is a fantastic driving instructor and I would 100% recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to drive. When I started my lessons I was an extremely nervous driver but Lee helped me find my confidence. He is extremely calm and friendly and has endless amounts of patience. He gave clear instructions in a way that made things easy to understand and with his support and encouragement I passed my test 1st time with only one minor.”

Frequently Asked Questions
How long are lessons?
We recommend 90-minute lessons, but if you need a shorter or longer lesson time, this can be arranged with your instructor. 90 minutes should give you enough time to warm up, practise new skills, visit test centre areas if needed and consolidate what you have learned before the lesson time is over.
How many lessons will I need?
It varies depending on your ability and how often you can practise. The DVSA average is 45 hours of professional tuition plus private practice, but obviously this varies from person to person. Some people learn much faster than others.
Can I choose my driving instructor?
Sometimes, yes. Browse our instructor profiles and let us know if you have a preference. This will of course be subject to their availability and if they cover your area.
Do I need to pass my theory test before starting lessons?
No. You can start practical lessons before passing your theory test, but you will need to pass your theory before you can book your practical driving test.
Can I be picked up from home, college or work?
In most cases, yes. Your instructor will agree a suitable pick-up and drop-off point with you, depending on their diary and the area they cover.
Do you help nervous learners?
Yes. Many learners feel nervous at first. Our instructors are patient and will build your confidence at a pace that feels manageable.
Can I use my instructor's car for the driving test?
Yes, as long as your instructor feels you are test-ready and the car is available for your test time.
