I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor than Sohail. From my very first lesson, I was really nervous and lacked confidence behind the wheel, but Sohail immediately made me feel at ease. He was incredibly patient, friendly, and always had a joke to help calm my nerves, which made every lesson enjoyable.
Sohail’s teaching style is very detailed, and he always took the time to explain everything clearly. If I struggled with something, he never rushed me and would happily go over it as many times as I needed until I felt confident. My confidence grew with every lesson, and that’s all thanks to the encouragement and support Sohail gave me.
He explained manoeuvres and roundabouts in such an easy-to-understand way, which made things that seemed difficult at first feel much simpler. He genuinely wanted me to become a safe driver, not just pass my test, and that really shows in the way he teaches.

My instructor was Sohail, absolutely brilliant instructor, has the patience of a saint and is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to driving. Previous instructors have always given me incorrect advice or allowed incorrect habits, which Sohail quickly corrected and made driving so much easier for me. He quickly understood my learning style and adapted his teaching methods to suit me. His knowledge of test routes is brilliant and extremely helpful when practicing. A big thank you to the amazing teaching of both Danielle and Sohail! Danielle started me off with my driving lessons, getting me moving on the road when I was too nervous to even start the car… It was through lots of lessons, patience, and laughs 😊 that my confidence gradually improved and I was officially on the road and driving alongside everyone else. I learnt so much through Danielle, which of course set me up nicely for when Sohail took over. “I had ummed and ahhed about driving lessons for years, that long infact my first provisional ran out!!
In October 2019 I had my first automatic driving lesson with Sohail. From the minute I sat in that passenger seat I felt at ease and really comfortable in his presence. I knew that I was in safe hands and that if anyone could help me pass, he was the man for the job.
Fast forward to March 2020 and the first lockdown. I missed my bi-weekly lessons and was desperate to start again. 10 months later and finally I was on the road to my test date.
Every lesson was enjoyable, and I came away feeling like I had accomplished something whether that be keeping to the speed limit (I think I belong on top gear) or perfecting the dreaded parallel park, Sohail ensured that I knew where I needed to improve week by week, what I had done well and what we were going to do on the following weeks lesson.

I’ve been learning to drive, on and off, since I was 17 years old and I’m now 32. Because I have quite serious anxiety, particularly around test situations, I have always given up long before getting to the point of having a test. Instructors in the past have seemed impatient or irritated when I haven’t immediately remembered instructions they’d given me, or if I took a few tries to manage something.
Sohail was always incredibly patient and never seemed frustrated if it took me a while to become consistently good at a particular skill.
